  • According to the recently amended 2025-2029 5 year financial plan bylaw, the municipality anticipates revenues of $112,850,404 for the 2025 fiscal year

  • According to the 2024 Statement of Financial Information, the mayor is a full time position and was paid $93,472.00 . The 6 members of Council were paid amounts ranging from $33,075 to $34,852 with no information given as to why the difference.

  • This I do not know. I will have to ask them and report back. At a bare minimum, members of Council are expected to attend 2 Council meetings and various committee meetings each month.

  • This is the Chief Administrative Officer who is the single employee of Mayor and Council. North Cowichan also has a designated Corporate Officer, Financial Officer and Approving Officer all with designated authorities under the Community Charter and Local Government Act.
